Most affordable snowfield in NSW with a great family friendly atmosphere.

Resort Overview

Selwyn Snowfields is widely regarded as the premiere learn-to-ski, family snow recreation area in NSW. Located in the beautiful Kosciuszko National Park in the NSW Snowy Mountains, Selwyn Snowfields provides an affordable and friendly snow experience.

As there is no accommodation on the mountain, most people stay in the nearby townships of Adaminaby or Talbingo a short 30 to 40 minutes drive from the slopes.

Getting there

Selwyn Snowfields is located off the Snowy Mountains Highway, an easy 2.5 hour drive from Canberra, 5.5 hour drive from Sydney and 6.5 hour drive from Melbourne. It is a requirement that all vehicles except 4WDs carry properly fitting chains at all times on the Snowy Mountains Highway.

These can be hired at most service stations on your way to Selwyn Snowfields. All vehicles are required to pay a National Park entry fee. Snowy Mountains Express offers return bus travel from Snowy Mountains Airport to Selwyn Snowfields and Adaminaby.
